Busy Federal Government Procurement Season Update 🔄

As expected, we've been seeing a very busy procurement season. Less RFPs though and a continued stream of RFIs. Additionally, where we saw many contract awards trickling in this time last year, expected with the federal procurement lifecycle, we're seeing on average a significant reduction in awards to-date as well as a sharp decline to almost non-existent levels on some of the historically very active multi-award IDIQs/BPAs. We don't expect this to continue indefinitely; in fact, we are anticipating the year end to be extremely busy with the build up of contract opportunities that have continued to push to the right along with those expiring contract opportunities that may not have been competed yet as their parent-level IDIQ/BPA, for example, the NIH PICS II IDIQ, is awaiting award to a new set of contractors.

That said, in July we saw a number of nice wins:

  • Porter Novelli defended their medicare open enrollment work at CMS valued at $188M on the CMS NEC IDIQ

  • Job Performance Systems captured a $49M contract for IRS' recruitment services

  • BETAH Associates won a $31M BPA at DOJ's Office of Justice Programs National Institute of Justice

  • Banyan Communications was awarded the highly competed communications work at NIH NINDS valued at $27M

  • The Hatcher Group won a $7.4M BPA for recruitment and marketing services supporting USDA's Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC)

  • Palladian Partners won a competitive task order on the NIH PICS II for integrated marketing and communications support at NIA valued at $1.8M

And, we're still on the lookout for two very sizable contract awards in the coming months -- specifically, the outcomes of Stratacomm's recompete of their $250M+ traffic safety program at NHTSA along with VML's recompete of the $1B+ Marine Corps recruitment advertising program. And, the highly competed NIH PICS III award.
