Mentor Protege Program Consulting
The U.S. Small Business Administration launched the All Small Mentor-Protege Program in 2016, allowing large, established government contractors to partner with small businesses for the benefit of both firms. It is now called the SBA Mentor Protege Program and there are a lot of benefits for both mentors and proteges.
With access to the resources and knowledge of a mentor firm, small business proteges can make enormous strides in terms of overall readiness to compete in the public sector. Mentor firms can gain eligibility to pursue a wider range of contracts, and leverage the specialized expertise of a smaller firm to shore up gaps in their existing capabilities.
We’ve shepherded numerous companies throughout the entire Program lifecycle, and we can help you maximize the value of participation.
If you’re interested in becoming a mentor or protege, we can leverage our network of government contractors and successful small businesses to help you identify prospective partner firms that match your criteria and objectives. We’ll help you evaluate and select a partner, and guide you through the Program application process.
Once admitted to the SBA Mentor Protege Program, we can assist you in setting up the Joint Venture that will govern the partnership, and work with you to identify and pursue relevant opportunities. In our experience, this program offers exceptional opportunities to win more public sector business—whether you’re an inexperienced firm looking to find your footing in the federal space or a seasoned government contractor seeking to expand your contract portfolio.
