Marketing Communications Awards to Close out the Federal Fiscal Year

Hope you and your teams successfully closed out the federal fiscal year! As expected, September saw a flurry of competitive awards. A special shoutout to Stratacomm and their long-standing team of Culture ONE World and Tombras for defending their NHTSA Communications, Marketing, and Media Support contract, valued at $329M—one of the largest contracts in the marketing communications industry.

Here’s a sampling of other major contract wins:

  • FHI360 won a contract for the HIV Communications Program at CDC, valued at $143M.

  • MP&F retained their contract at Job Corps for Strategic Communications and Marketing Support Services, valued at $46M.

  • ICF won a $40M contract at DHS for Public Awareness Strategic Communications, Marketing and Training Campaign (BLUE Campaign)

  • IQ Solutions won a $39M contract at NIH for the National Institute on Aging's Information Resource Center.

  • Dynamic Integrated Services secured several contracts at the VA, including: $38M for Strategic Communication and Change Management Services, $6.3M for Commercial Professional Services Strategic Communications Plan, $5.5M for VHA National Center for PTSD Outreach and Marketing, and $2.2M for Transitioning Service Member Outreach and Evaluation.

  • MarCom Group won a $37M contract at DHS CBP for Marketing and Advertising Recruitment Services.

  • BLN Fors Marsh JV secured three contracts: Comprehensive Communications Support for the Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy (OIDP), valued at $28.3M, Marketing Communications Services at the FTC, valued at $4.5M, and Marketing Consulting Services at USPTO, valued at $2.7M.

  • Crosby Marketing secured a $21M contract for Integrated Marketing Support at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

  • Compel JV won a $20M contract at DHS FEMA for ICPD HQ Programmatic Support.

  • Arillic won contracts for Publications, Media, and Marketing Support at HHS AHRQ, valued at $15.7M, and Graphic Design Support Services at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, valued at $1.1M.

  • Gig Line Media won a $15M contract at the VA for Federal Action Plan and Lethal Means Safety Communications Support.

  • Banyan Communications secured multiple contracts, including the TBI Campaign Marketing and Consulting Services contract at the CDC, valued at $9M, and the PRC Program Communication Services contract, valued at $1.5M, also at CDC.

  • Fors Marsh won a $6.3M contract for Strategic Communications and National Marketing Support Services at Office of Procurement Services.

  • Ripple Effect Communications won contracts for Communications and Outreach Support for the NIH Brain Initiative at HHS NIDA, valued at $5.5M, and for Outreach and Development Support Services at HHS, valued at $2.4M.

  • Rocket Media retained their Video Production Support Services contract at the FBI, valued at $5M.

  • Modavate secured the Anti-Straw Purchasing Campaign Support contract at DOJ ATF, valued at $3.3M.

  • ECU Communications won the DHS See Something, Say Something Campaign Support contract, valued at $2.8M

  • Rack-Wildner & Reese, Inc. (Akoya) retained the Marketing Campaign Services contract at HRSA, valued at $2.8M.

  • BLN 24 won a $2.7M contract for Outreach and Engagement Support Services at the National Telecommunications and Information Administration.

  • Artemis Arc secured a $2.2M contract at the VA for Media Clipping and Analysis Services.

  • L&M Policy Research secured a $2M contract at CMS for Consumer Research on Communicating Coverage, Choice, and Quality.

  • Red Carrot secured several contracts, including $1.7M at DHS CBP for their Intellectual Property Rights and Green Trade Campaign, $1.7M for Internet-Based Communications Web Subscription Service at the SBA, Measurement and Evaluation Support Services valued at $447K at DHS OCIO, and Outreach and Education Promotion at the CDC, valued at $198K.

  • Scientific Consulting Group secured a $2.2M contract at HHS for Comprehensive Meeting Planning and Support Services along with a $1.9M contract at HHS for Health Communication Information Dissemination.

  • Media Fusion won a $1.8M contract at DHS supporting the Center for Prevention Programs and Partnerships Student Innovation Lab.

  • Kaptivate secured a contract for NCSER Crowdsourcing Campaign Support, valued at $882K at the Department of Education.

  • Davis Management secured an Event Services Program Support contract at the Department of State, valued at $750K.

Additionally, there were several smaller awards, including:

  • Yes&'s $366K award at OIG for Outreach and Communication Support Services.

  • Pinkston's $206K award at the Department of State for a branding study.

  • Montage Marketing's $209K contract for consulting services at the CDC.

We also saw considerable activity across major public health vehicles, including:

  • The CDC Health Marketing BPA, which awarded several competitive task orders, including Banyan Communications’ $111K contract for the Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever Educational Module for Healthcare Providers in Mexico and $115K for the Alpha-Gal Syndrome Educational Module. Additional awards include ICF's $489K contract for Hurricane Communication Support Services, Fors Marsh’s $289K award for the MyMobility Plan Dissemination Plan, Porter Novelli’s $591K contract for Communications and Marketing Support, Hager Sharp’s $576K contract for the Women’s Cardiovascular Health Awareness Campaign, and Sensis' $148K News Media Clipping Support contract.

  • The NIH PICS II contract awarded $2.4M to Scientific Consulting Group for NCATS Communications and Public Liaison Support Services, $1M to IQ Solutions for Research Support Services for the ABCD Study and HBCD Study, along with additional awards to Fors Marsh for Media Buying Services valued at $5M, and Paladian Partners.

  • The CMS NEC IDIQ awarded $90M to Ketchum for the Nursing Home Nurse Staffing Outreach Campaign, and $14M to Porter Novelli for Strategic Communications for Program Integrity.
